Class of 2023
Jason Lim
Where do you see yourself in 10 years? "In 10 years, I see myself having a good career in the field of engineering and still playing tennis with friends in leagues and tournaments." What advice would you like to give to future Hoyas? "For future Hoyas, I would tell them to build strong bonds with their teammates and enjoy the moment. The four years of high school pass quicker than you think, so make each season worth it! Always trust in your teammates and believe in yourself! There is always room for improvement and push your teammates to improve too! Being a part of Hoya tennis is the best decision you will make in high school!" How has tennis helped you in life? "Tennis has made me a more encouraging, confident, and patient person. From high school tennis, cheering for my teammates has made me a more supportive person on and off the court. I have developed more self-belief from all the matches I have played throughout my career and have a persevering attitude. Tennis has also strengthened me mentally from the setbacks I have overcome. I have become a more hard-working and responsible person." |

Where do you see yourself in 10 years? In ten years, I will hopefully be in my second year of surgical rotations after graduating from medical school. What advice would you like to give to future Hoyas? "In your academics, stay on top of your work and grades because you will be applying to colleges sooner than you think. Every grade, starting your first semester, will matter. In sports, give it your all and practice hard everyday like it's game day. Be a good teammate because you will play with them for years and will need support from them at some point." How has tennis helped you in life? "Tennis has taught me patience and discipline but ultimately hard work and determination. I always strive to do my best in everything I do, and with tennis, it takes time on the court and understanding tennis will require hours of practice and sticking with it to achieve goals. This dedication applies to life too." |
Aaron Huynh
Where do you see yourself in 10 years? "I see myself in ten years working for myself and having a career that makes me happy." What advice would you like to give to future Hoyas? "Work really hard for something you want to achieve and you will be able to achieve it." How has tennis helped you in life? "Tennis has helped me find stability and happiness while playing a sport. It has provided me with great teammates and an environment to grow." |
